COVID-19 Assistance Packages & Grant Support

The South Australian Government has announced a Business Hardship Grant for February 2022 to offer assistance to SA businesses who have had a decline in turnover of more than 50% during Feburary 2022 compared to the entire month of February in 2021 or 2020. The payments offered will range from $3,000 to $11,000, depending on the location of the business and annual turnover.

Here’s what you need to know in order to test your eligiblity for the payments:
If your business:
- has an active ABN and operates in South Australia
- is registered for GST
- saw a 50% or more decline in turnover due to COVID-19 during February 2022, compared to February 2021 or February 2020 depending on when you started trading with your business
- if you have employees, they must be employed in South Australia and they must be properly added to payroll (ie. you must send proof of PAYG-W, regular wages being paid, etc.)
How do I apply?
Applications for February’s payments close on 31 March 2022.
